Black and grey realism is about contrast and control: soft gradients, deep blacks and highlights that make a flat image look three-dimensional. Done well, it keeps its depth long after it heals.
I design every piece to suit the body, from a single forearm to a full back, and I plan the shading so the tattoo still reads clearly years from now. If you’ve got a big idea or a combination of subjects, bring it and we’ll build it into one composition.

What is black and grey realism?
It’s a style that uses smooth shading and fine detail, without bold outlines, to create lifelike images in black ink and grey tones.
Can you do large pieces like back pieces and sleeves?
Yes. Larger work is planned as one composition and tattooed across multiple sessions.
Do you mix realism with other styles?
Yes. I also do mash-up pieces that combine realism with cartoon and graphic elements.
